Chapter six. (KEMARU fanfics.) Last chap.

KEMARUfanfics. Chapter 6.

——-

“What are you two doing?” Alexander said from his spot on the couch.

Kibum and Kevin were sitting crossed legged on the floor in the corner of the room. Kevin was whispering furiously to Kibum while the latter was doubling in laughter. The moment they heard him speak, however, both of them stopped doing what they were doing and shrugged at the same time. Alexander could only shake his head.

All of them were in the living room watching a horror movie. Alexander, Eli and their manager were all sitting in the couch while Dongho and Soohyun were on their stomachs on the floor.

Kevin and Kibum were once sitting on a foldable chair but Alexander guessed Kevin pulled Kibum and started chatting in the corner.

Alexander was worried that those two would make noise during the showing of the movie but he was surprised when he didn’t hear a whisper when the movie finally started.

He shrugged and turned to concentrate on the movie.

Those two on the other hand…

“I want to watch the movie!” Kibum murmured furiously to Kevin but the younger male only rolled his eyes.

“Let’s just watch it in the big screen. I’ll pay, don’t worry.” Kevin shifted from his position so that his back was facing the others. Kibum leaned on the wall.

“So what did you call me here for?” Kibum saw Dongho leaning closer to Soohyun and the older holding the maknae but looking scared all the same.

Kevin leaned closer to Kibum and whispered, “It’s Xander-hyung.” He felt Kevin’s hot breath against his face and felt a shiver run down his spine.

“What about him?” Speaking of Alexander, Kibum saw him clutching Eli’s arm looking as if the grudge came out of the tv.Might as well have, he thought evilly.

“He’s getting weird around me.” Kibum turned to looked at Kevin and almost jumped at how close he was to his face.

Kibum squashed himself in the wall he was leaning into. “Will you please move a bit?” He scrunched his nose. “Our distance between each other is distracting me.” Kibum then pointed out to Kevin how close he was to his face.

Kevin rolled his eyes and moved farther. Although he was still near, at least Kibum wouldn’t have to resist the urge to kiss him while the younger male is ranting his heart out. That would be rude.

“So what about Xander-hyung again?”

Kevin told him how in their filming of Pops in Seoul awhile ago, they had to do a challenge and in that challenge, they had to say I Love You and confess something to the one sitting beside you.

“So what’s wrong with that?” Kevin jumped when Dongho screamed. They both turned to look to see that most of them have hidden under a pillow or behind somebody.

“He told me I was beautiful-“

“Well, you are.” Kibum looked Kevin straight in the eyes and saw the younger male blush.

“Thank y-“

“You like it when I say it to you” A smug smile was creeping up Kibum’s face when he saw Kevin flush crimson.

“That’s not my point!” Kevin wrung his hands and glared at him. Kibum held in his laughter.

“Okay, go on.” He snickered. He sneaked a peek over Kevin’s shoulders and saw that Dongho was burying his face into Soohyun’s chest making whimpering sounds just as a loud crash was heard. Kibum saw their manager duck under the blanket and Eli and Alexander clutch each other’s arms for support. He rolled his eyes. What cowards.

“He told me that whenever he sees my lips, he wants to kiss me!” Kevin put his hands on Kibum’s shoulder and shook him not so gently. “Do you know how freaking awkward that was for me? Do you? Do you!?” Kevin shook him harder, his head almost banging the wall.

“Kevin, calm down.” Kibum pried Kevin’s hands off his shoulder in case his dongsaeng suddenly decided to punch his face in disgust. This boy is crazy, Kibum thought. “Besides, I kissed you before, what’s wrong with Xander-hyung kissing you too?”

“You’re not helping!” He covered Kevin’s mouth when he realized that he just spoke loud enough. Both of them looked to the people watching and saw that they were all looking at them.

Kibum stood, pulled Kevin with him, said “Sorry” and went off to their room leaving the others staring at the two of them. They heard the TV go up full volume when the two of them left.

Once they were in the O brother’s room, Kibum let go of Kevin and sat heavily on the bad. Kevin, meanwhile, closed the door and locked it.

“What was that all about?” He huffed.

Kibum shrugged. “Well, you’re the one who shouted. Anyway… what were you talking about again?”

Kevin continued talking while pacing the floor and making weird gestures with his hands as he talked. Kibum would’ve listened and he would’ve given advices, he would’ve, if it wasn’t for his Kevin constantly licking his dry lips (from talking too much) and his hands running through his already dishelved hair.

The younger male talked about Alexander to Eli to Dongho to everybody in general. He talked about how Soohyun and Eli get to hog the bathroom in the morning and how Kiseop is still awkward with some of the members. He was voicing his concert about Dongho’s busy schedule to Soohyun’s sudden awkwardness with Kiseop.

“I mean, I don’t get it. Kiseop and Soohyun-hyung were always-“Kevin stopped talking just as Kibum stood up in front of him, put his hands on his shoulder and kissed his mouth shut. Kevin leaned forward just as Kibum was about to pull away.

“Kevin, shut up and calm down.” Kibum said once his lips left Kevin’s.

The younger male could only frown and say, “But I wasn’t done talking yet.” as if nothing happened. Kibum wrapped his arms around Kevin and swayed side to side, telling him to continue.

And Kevin did. He told him how every time Eli walks in the room, Alexander suddenly shuts up and moves closer to him (which, in turn, makes the situation even more awkward). He told him how his schedule is making him stressed. He even told him how much he misses Young Gyoung-hyung andSungsoo-hyung (their former band members).

While all these were happening, however, Kibum was slowly backing Kevin to the wall. He cupped Kevin’s face and started showering him with light kisses. Of course, his dongsaeng just had to go and talk as if he wasn’t being harassed by his lips. Of course Kevin just had to start breathing fast and grip his shirt just as his lips started trailing down his neck (abandoning the original act of ranting). Of course his angel just had to put his hands down there…

“Oh no, you don’t.” Kibum pecked Kevin’s lips again and tried gently pushing him away but Kevin snaked his arms around his neck and brought him closer.

“Why not?” Kevin whispered into his lips as he played with Kibum’s collar.

Kibum lightly bit Kevin’s lower lip. “You’re still not done talking remember?”

Kevin slid his hands from Kibum’s neck, to his chest down to his belt and pulled him closer. “And what if I am?” he smirked.

Both of them heard screams from the living room and they chuckled.

“So hyung,” Kevin was still holding his belt buckle. “You wanna scream too?” He looked at Kibum, licked his lips and smirked devilishly.

Kibum would never in a million years think that Kevin could talk so dirty.

Back to the living room…

The movie finished sometime later and they were just there, sitting on the same spot, finishing their movie snacks when heard something bump hard on the wooden wall.

“Damnit, Kevin!”  They all heard Kibum gasp.

“Pretty hands does the job best.” They all looked at Kiseop who just popped a popcorn in his mouth and smiled.

Chapter five. (KEMARU fanfics.)

KEMARUfanfics. Chapter 5.

——-

Eli is scared of Kibum whenever he gets angry. He glares at everyone and he usually says whatever he wants. Which is good, Eli reminds himself, because then there’ll be no more secrets, no more hiding of feelings.

Eli is more scareed when Kevin talks back to their hyung. Not because he’s scared for Kevin but because the younger male talks back without using honorifics. His words were always frank and said straight forward. Eli is amazed how Kevin is the only one who can talk back to Kibum without being reprimanded about it. (Dongho tried and ended up crying instead. Kibum said sorry afterwards, though.)

Kevin sheds a few tears of course, but they were more of a “Tears of anger” rather than “Tears of sadness” or whatever the hell you call those.

Eli is also scared whenever Kibum slams the door open or slams it shut because it indicates that he just came home from a busy schedule with somebody pissing him off. All of them would always end up in the living room doing absolutely nothing as they listen to Kevin and Kibum battle it out in the kitchen. (You have to pass the kitchen to be able to go to any of the room.)

He was never scared for Kevin, though. Oh no. Although Kevin might look fragile, he can actually handle himself well against Kibum. Eli only finds it weird how majority of their fans thought that he was the scariest out of them when in fact, it was actually Kibum-hyung. Eli likes to think that although he might look a bit scary on the outside, he’s actually really funny and friendly on the inside. No, he’s not saying that Kibum-hyung isn’t like that… he’s just saying that… Ah, whatever, Eli thought.

He remembers being at the receiving end of Kibum’s infamous glare and boy was it scary. He was just standing side by side with Kevin doing absolutely nothing when he felt eyes boring into the back of his head. He regrets looking back of course, as he saw Kibum glaring at him with his arms crossed. He didn’t want to repeat that experience ever again.

Alexander-hyung has it worse though, with his constant flirting with Kevin. Eli was proud of his hyung who was brave enough to kiss Kevin in the cheek with Kibum present. Of course, Kibum didn’t see it (thank God) or else Alexander wouldn’t be here now. Nonetheless, it was a very brave thing to do.

Eli once asked Kevin how he can stand Kibum with his constant mood changes and the latter just said that yes, he might be moody, but he is actually sweet.

One time, he found a human sized white teddy bear sitting on the living room couch with a tag on its ears. The bear gave him a shock and he, thinking it was real, almost fled back to his room but he manned up and read it. To Kevin. Love, your hyung. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that this was given by Kibum.

Eli sneaked a peek at Alexander who was getting up from his seat to go back to his room (or at least he’s going back to his room). He wonders why both of them couldn’t be like those two. But then, Eli thought, he wouldn’t want to have a verbal fight with Alexander. He wouldn’t want to say things that might hurt his hyung. Eli sighed.

Kevin gets his share of jealousy too, Eli noticed. Especially whenever Kiseop is around Kibum.  It might not be visible during filmings, but whnever the camera turns off, Kevin’s face suddenly goes emotionless and he ignores the two for the rest of the day. Eli finds it cute.

Kiseop, on the other hand, either ignores Kevin or he really doesn’t know what’s going on between Kibum and Kevin but Eli thinks he’s not gonna stop being all touchy-feely with Kibum soon. Watching those two get jealous of each other was fun.

Eli once caught Kevin staring at Kibum while the latter was putting his shirt on. He knew a bout Kevin liking people with nice bodies – hell, everybody knew – and Eli knew, at the moment Kevin licked his lips and bit his lower lip while still staring their hyung, that their relationship was much deeper than what he expected.

Eli also remembers their first ever radio interview. It was Sukira, with Eunhyuk-sunbaenim and Leeteuk-sunbaenim. There was a question (he remembers it clearly because he remembers feeling oddly happy about it) ‘Who was your first kiss’, and Kibum, being the honest-to-god guy he is, answered ‘Kevin’. They all laughed of course, thinking it was all a joke. But when he overheard the two of them talking about it, Eli knew better.

He remembers Alexander who was in the other room and sighed again.

To be honest, he was a bit jealous of Kevin. He was handsome, a great dancer, an amazing singer and has a nice personality. But the number one reason is that Alexander spends most of his time with him.

Eli picked up a piece of folded paper that was lying on the floor next to where he was sitting down. He opened it and sighed. It was just a paper conversation between Kevin and Kibum. He looked around, they weren’t here anyway so he decided to read it.

I told you, he likes him – K

Who was K? Eli thought. They were both K and damn it, they almost have identical handwriting too. Eli’s only basis for Kevin’s penmanship was his neat way of writing, but as he scanned the paper, not one line had a neat penamnship in it.Ah whatever, He thought as he continued reading.

How can you be sure? Did he tell you? – M

M? But he was so sure this was Kibum’s handwriting. Who in the`?

As a matter of fact, he did. – K

Good for you (Eli detected a hint of sarcasm. Yep, that’s Kibum alright.) Now what? – M

We do nothing. I don’t want to interfere in their growing relationshi,p you know… - K

Eli was curious now, just who were they talking about? He read on further…

Then what’s the point of us doing this paper passing for? – M

I just missed doing this with you –

Okay, that’s enough, Eli thought as he folded the paper back to it’s original shape. He didn’t want to read any of these two’s lovey-dovey notes.

Who were they talking about anyway? Was it Soohyun-hyung and Dongho who always had this mild sexual tension hanging above their heads whenever they walk into a room together? Or was it Kiseop and Alexander who just started being unhealthily friendly around each other?

What about you and Alexander? A part of his brain said.

Eli stopped just as he was walking back to his room. He shook his head and continued walking. Impossible, he thought.  Besides, why would Alexander like him? It wasn’t like they had anything in common. All Eli could do to talk to Alexander was tease him and vice-versa.

Eli opened his door to reveal a fidgeting Alexander sitting on his bed. He blinked twice before coming in the room and closed the door.

“Uhh… Hello?” He said in an incredulous voice. What was he doing here? His heartbeat rose a notch when he realized that it was only the two of them in a closed room. His room.

“Yeah, hi.” Alexander greeted back, albeit a bit weakly. Eli noticed him sigh and run a hand through his hair. What he would give just to run a hand through those fine- “Kevin told me to go here.” His heart sank. Right, Kevin. It was always Kevin this, Kevin that. Eli forced a smile.

“Oh, really? Why?” He dragged a chair in front of Alexander, set it in front of him and sat.

Alexander sighed. “He told me to tell you things.” He bit his lips and fiddled the bed sheet. Eli forgot all about his jealousy and leaned slightly forward in his seat to listen closely. Is he going to say what he thinks his hyung is going to say?

“What kind of things?” Eli said breathlessly as he stared at Alexander’s lips and semi-consciously leaned over. Damn it, don’t get all excited now. He scolded himself. It might not even be whatever you’re thinking! Eli saw Alexander lick his lips as he stared at Eli’s too. Oh god. He gulped.

Alexander leaned an inch closer to him, his breath tickling Eli’s cheeks. They were just about to close the distance when the door slammed open.

“Dinner’s rea-“ Kevin froze in mid-sentence as he saw the two leaning in for a kiss. A smile slowly crept up his face.

Eli backed up so fast he fell of his chair. Alexander, on the other hand, crawled backward so his back was flat against the wall. He covered his red face with his hands.

“What are you two doing?” Kevin put his hands on his hips. “You should be kissing each other! You should be- oomph! Let me go! I wanna watch them! Let me go, hyung!” He was suddenly lifted by the waist and thrown over Kibum’s shoulder.

“Leave them alone, Kevin.” The said person wiggled. “You can go watch porn later.” Eli heard Kibum say just as he was walking away with Kevin on his shoulder.

“But I don’t want to watch porn! I wanna watch those two! Kibum-hyuu~ng!” Eli heard Kevin’s voicefade and he blinked in confusion.

Both of them stared at the spot where the two were for a few seconds before Eli stood up, dusted himself off and said, “What the hell was that all about?”

“I think Kevin and Kibum just walked in on us.” Alexander blinked many times as if blinking would erase the things that just happened. “Why didn’t you lock the door anyway?”

“Lock the- why would I lock the … what?” Eli stared at his hyung as if he grew another head. Why would he want to lock the door with only the two of them inside? Unless… Eli’s face flushed red.

Alexander looked back at the still open door and mumbled “To hell with this privacy shit.”, tackled Eli to the ground and kissed him hungrily on the mouth.

Eli would have to thank those two later.

Back to where Kevin and Kibum were…

“Seriously, Kevin, how’d you know about those two?” Kibum said set Kevin down, took a glass and filled it with cold water.

Both of them were standing in the kitchen doing nothing. Dinner wasn’t actually ready yet as Soohyun, Dongho nd Kiseop hadn’t come back from their filming. They usually ate together in their supposed dorm but this time, the three told them to eat without them. Kibum was actually thinking of eating at the restaurant downtown but it looked like Eli and Alexander would rather go hungry. Which left the two of them in the kitchen.

“Like I told you, Alexander-hyung asked me for help” Kevin leaned on the kitchen counter just as they heard Alexander scream “Faster!”.  Both of them snickered.

A few silent minutes passed before Kevin spoke again.

“I don’t watch porn, you know.” He said in a quiet voice.

Kibum rolled his eyes as he refilled his glass with water. “Sure you don’t.”

Suddenly, they heard loud moans coming from the other room. Both of them cringed.

“Then what are those noises I hear in the middle of the night?”

Kevin turned red and buried his face in his hands. “That’s not the DVD nor the laptop.” He mumbled in his hands.

Kibum’s mouth opened a small fraction when he realized that it was Kevin not those DVDs. He threw the remaining water in his glass over Kevin’s head, removed his hands away from his face and smashed his lips against Kevin’s, their teeth almost bumping against each other. Kevin gasped and buried his hands in his hyung’s hair as Kibum movied to nip and suck the sensitive skin in his neck.

Both of them heard Eli scream “Oh, fuck” but they didn’t care, they had their own business.

Kibum smirked into Kevin’s skin as the younger male whispered the same thing and lifted Kevin so that he can sit on the counter top. Kevin started to wrap his legs around Kibum but stopped when he heard his own stomach growl. Kibum laughed before kissing his lips one last time and suggested they go eat at his house.

“What about those two?” Kevin said as he jumped off the counter. He can still hear those two going at it. He cringed.

Kibum held his hands as they walked to the door. “Trust me, they’d be invading the living room and kitchen soon.”

Soohyun, Dongho and Kiseop came home to a topsy turvy dorm later on.

KEMARUfanfics. Chapter 4.

——-

If only Kiseop could get his hands on some popcorn then his life would be complete. I bet the others want to have popcorn too. Or maybe something to nibble on, He thought.

Kibum and Kevin were glaring at each other, but the thing about this scene was that Kibum was losing. When Kevin was angry, his hand would be on his waist. When Kevin is pissed off, however, his hands would be crossed at his chest and he’d wear the cutest sour expression. And right now, Kevin was pissed off at Kibum.

Being with U-Kiss was great. Kiseop was glad the company made him part of the group even if it was a little late. Even when he was still a trainee,  Eli and Alexader-hyung never failed to say hi or have a small talk with him everyday. Soohyun-hyung would sometimes talk to him and even accompany him whenever he’s lonely during training. He could proudly say that Soohyun-hyung was his best friend during those times (even now, actually. Only this time, the others joined in the best friend status).

Kiseop avoided Kevin and Kibum like the plague during the first couple of months, though.  Kiseop was actually a trainee before Kevin and he heard about him in the radio, saw him on TV and he even watched one of their performances live. Kiseop could only say one thing about Kevin: he was amazing, both his vocals and his dancing. So Kiseop was kind of shocked (understatement of the century) when he saw Kevin coming in the double doors to introduce himself as one of NHM’s new trainee. Although Kevin gave off a feminine vibe, Kiseop likes him and Kevin was nice to him too.

Kibum, however, was another story. The moment he came into the room, Kiseop almost stood up in shock and shout “Kim Hyungjoon!”. He thought Kim Hyungjoon was there to observe them or something ridiculous like that. But then he thought, why would Kim Hyungjoon observe anything here? Kiseop sort of felt relieved that it was only his brother and not Hyungjoon-hyung himself.

Kiseop avoided those two like the plague because they were intimidating – well, Kibum more so than Kevin. Those two were inseperable and where one goes, the other follows. Their friendship had Kiseop kind of confused though, Kevin is nice and friendly while Kibum is funny, but cold at most times. Especially during the first few months, He shuddered as he remembered Kibum’s cold stares. He always wondered how Kevin could hang out with Kibum and vice versa. Although,Kiseop always thought, maybe Kibum is really a nice person.

Now that he is a member of U-Kiss, Kiseop got to know them more and he even had the chance to observe their behavior and somewhat personal relationship with each of their favorite members. I feel so smart, he chuckled to himself.

Soohyun and Dongho had this older-brother-younger-brother relationship towards each other. Sometimes, Dongho would throw a tantrum and Soohyun would be there to calm him down or just tease him more causing Dongho to continue his tantrum. But Soohyun likes it when Dongho throws a tantrum, at least he has somebody to baby and Dongho obviously likes to be babied.

Eli and Alexander were more complex than those two though. Alexander calls Eli Kyoung Jae just to annoy him and Eli pays him back by calling him Alex. Sometimes, Eli would hide Alexander’s things and then Alexander would hit Eli until he gives it back.  Those two had the kindergarten-relationship, Kiseop discovered. One where the boy annoys the girl and the girl complains or teases back but secretely likes it.

Kibum and Kevin’s relationship with each other was the most interesting to watch and Kiseop was glad he was part of the audience.

Their relationship includes lots of skinship, laughs, fights (the serious type of fights), jealousy (which includes yours truly and sometimes Alexander-hyung) and shouting. Oh, were there lots of shouting whenever the two of them fight. The other members aren’t alarmed though because they know it’s temporary, and a KeMaru (Xing petname, Kiseop finds it cute) thing.

“So?” Kevin tapped his foot. Uh-oh, Kiseop chuckled, that wasn’t a good sign.

“So what?” Kibum raised his eyebrows at Kevin and he just huffed in annoyance.

“Don’t you so what me, Kim Kibum!”

“Why are you so bi-polar?”

“I am not bi-polar!”

“Then why are you shouting at me?”

“I’m not shouting at you!” Kevin shouted, stopped when he realized that he was shouting, growled in annoyance, ruffled his hair and said, “Don’t change the subject!”

“I am not!” Kibum scrunched his nose.

“Yes, you are!” Kevin made a strangling motion in front of Kibum and said, “You are impossible!” as he stomped his foot. Kiseop was really craving for something to eat now. This was like soap opera.

And in some sick moment of humor, Kibum answered, “No, I’m Kim Kibum.” And everybody in the room chuckled except Kevin who looked like he wanted to tear Kibum into pieces right at that moment. But Kiseop, being the observant observer that he is, noticed Kevin’s lips twitch upwards a bit.

You know how Kevin is always sweet to Kibum in front of the camera and it was always who gets to tease Kevin? Well, it was funny how Kevin looked like he can kill Kibum with that glare he’s giving him. It was also funny how this fight started with Kevin losing his teddy bear and Kibum teased him by saying that he doesn’t need the bear anyway. Apparently, Kevin doesn’t like it when Kibum disregards any of his things. To Kevin, everything was important.

“It was important to me!” See what Kiseop means?

“You’re too old for a teddy bear anyway!”

I wonder if they still know that we’re still here, Kiseop wondered.

Kevin pushed Kibum hard enough to make him fall on his bottom. “You’re horrible!” Kevin shouted and stomped off to their room. Kibum just stared, mouth opened, at the spot where Kevin stood.

“Did he just…push me?” Kibum blinked several times still not believing that Kevin, innocent Kevin, pushed him.

“You are so dead.” Dongho commented the moment Kevin was out of hearing range. Kibum huffed.

“Where did you put the bear anyway?” Alexander said as he crossed his legs. Kibum flopped on the floor and wiggled.

“He is so childish.” Kibum scrunched his nose and wiggled some more. Kiseop chuckled.

“I heard that!” They all heard Kevin shout from his room and Soohyun laughed while the others snickered.

“You were meant to!” Kibum shouted back.

“Just give it back, Kibum.” Alexander said. Kiseop pouted in his head. He didn’t want their fight to end, their fights were always so shallow yet so entertaining.

“I told you, I didn’t take it, I didn’t hide it. I don’t even know what the hell he’s talking about! I saw his teddy bear sitting prettily on the bed awhile ago!” Kibum turned to lie down on his belly and wiggled again.

“Stop lying!” Kevin shouted from his room again. Eli clicked his tongue at Kibum.

“I am not!” Kibum stuck his tongue out at Kevin’s direction hoping that he can see it.

“Well, that was entertaining.” Eli snickered.

“Sorry, hyung, but we have our own problems too.” Dongho shrugged. “Good luck on that.” He jerked his head in Kevin’s direction.

Soohyun stood up and said, “Well, Dongho and I are just going to buy dinner, you guys wanna come?” Everybody except Kiseop and Kibum said they wanted to go.

When everybody else was out, Kiseop held his hand out to Kibum.

The older shook his head. “No thanks, the floor is actually comfortable once you lay on it for a long period of time.” Kibum said with no sarcasm in his voice. Kiseop could only shrug.

“I’ll just be in my room, reading. Call if you need something okay?” Kiseop thought he heard him mutter okay, shrugged again and went back to the A brothers room to read.

Seriously, those two should just stop it with their lover’s quarrel and make up. Kiseop thought.

As he passed by Kevin’s room, he heard him mutter “Stupd Bummie-hyung. Doesn’t even know that the bear I lost was given by him. Stupid, stupid, Kevin. Why’d you have to lose it anyway?” and then he heard him sniffle. Kiseop felt bad for Kevin and he wanted to help him so he knocked on the door. It was awhile before Kevin opened the door and allowed him in though.

“Are you alright?” Kiseop thought that it was a stupid question but it was better than nothing. Both of them sat on the bed.

“I’ve had better days but I think I can manage.” Kevin gave him a watery smile.

A few moments of silence passed until Kiseop made a gesture that Kevin should say something regarding the matter. Kiseop was no shrink but he thought that maybe he could somehow help.

“I brought two teddy bears with me,” Kevin blurted out. “The one I showed to the camera was a fan gift and the other one - the missing one - was given by Kibum-hyung years ago. I never sleep anywhere without it. “

“What happened?”

“I don’t know.” Kevin’s lower lips started trembling but thank God he didn’t start crying cause Kiseop didn’t know how to handle crying people. “I was fixing my things when I can’t suddenly find it!”

“I’m sure it’ll turn up sooner or later.” Kiseop patted Kevin’s hand in comfort.

“I hope so.” Kevin sniffled.

Few minutes later, they both heard the door open and Alexander sing “Dinner~” at the top of his lungs.

Dinner was so awkward you can probably cut the tension in the air with a knife with how thick it seemed to be. Good thing that dinner was fast and Dongho and Eli volunteered to do the dishes.

“I’m off to fix my things.” Soohyun started and Alexander came with him. They were leaving the dorm in a week but everybody thought it would be best if they could fix their baggage and clean the dorm room a week earlier.

“I’m going out.” Kevin said and Kibum opened his mouth to say something but Kiseop beat him to it.

“I’ll accompany you.” Both of then stood and went out the door leaving Kibum looking sour.

They walked along the empty streets with both of their hands in the coat pockets. It was a winter night but it wasn’t cold enough to wear a vest, thick coat, scarf and gloves, Kiseo thought.

“Why are you avoiding him?” He said. Good thing they a late dinner (midnights snacks? They ate at eleven in the evening) and that the streets was kind of empty or this midnights stroll would be a problem.

“I’m not.” Kiseop raised his eyebrow at him and Kevin just huffed. “Okay, fine. Maybe I am. What’s it to you?”

“Hey, don’t go sour on me.” Kiseop said with a laugh. “I’m trying to help you here. Plus, I’m older than you, remember?”

“Yeah, by ten months.” Kevin chuckled as they entered a 24-hour pastry shop. “I’m sorry for being sour though.” Kiseop could only shrug.

Even though it was the middle of the night, both of them talked about almost everything over tea and cakes. Kiseop thought Kevin was a nice companion to have when you’re lonely, but he noticed that Kevin’s hand shook whenever he took a sip of his tea.

“You should say sorry.” He suddenly blurted just as Kevin was talking about Dongho’s latest baseball-related injury.

“He- what?” He saw Kevin lick his lips and put the fork down.

“You should say sorry.” Kiseop repeated, taking a sip of the tea. He saw Kevin furrow his eyebrows in thought.

“I guess I should.” Kevin finally sighed. “It wasn’t his fault anyway. “ He stood up (so did Kiseop), ordered a cup of coffee and croissant for Kibum and went back to their dorm.

When they returned, however, all the lights were turned off and when Kiseop looked at the clock, It was way past twelve midnight. Everybody’s probably asleep by now, he thought bitterly.

“Now I can’t say sorry anymore.” Kevin said in a small voice.

“Of course you can, you can do it tomorrow.”

“But the food-“

“- can be left in the fridge.” Kiseop smiled. “Just leave a note saying it’s his.” He suggested. He felt so proud of himself, to be able to help his dongsaeng like that. A pat on the back, he thought smugly.

“I guess…” and both of them went to the kitchen. But when they passed the living room, Kiseop almost bumped into Kevin who was blinking and gaping like a fish. Kiseop almost, almost chuckled at the pun. When Kiseop leaned over Kevin’s shoulder, however, he saw what Kevin was gaping at.

There on the couch as a sleeping Kibum with a blue teddy bear clutched in his hands and a note stuck to it.

“I’m sorry, it read.”Kevin said in a strangled voice as he went to pick it up.

“I’ll leave you two now.” Kiseop said and walked off not to his room but instead, to hide behind the wall and watch those two secretly. Ninja Kiseop, he thought childishly.

“Hyung, hyung, wake up.” Kevin shook Kibum but the latter could only swat Kevin’s hand away.

Kevin placed the food on the floor, smacked Kibum in the head and said, “I said ‘Wake Up’, idiot-hyung!”

That did the trick, Kiseop chuckled. They seriously are fun to watch.

“Wha-what?” Oh, hey, Ke – Oomph!” Kiseop snickered as he watched Kibum get tackled by Kevin. “Kevin, what the hell is going o-“

“Thank you!” Kevin said as he tightened his grip around his hyung.

“What?”

“The teddy bear! Geez, you are slow today, hyung. Are you getting older? Oh my gosh, you are!” Kevin gasped and Kibum could only roll his eyes.

“Oh, that.” Kevin let go of Kibum and the two sat up properly.

“Yeah, that. Where’d you find it?”

“Well, it was my turn to turn the laundry in just so you know and I –“

“In the laundry!?” Kevin’s voice broke as he said it and Kibum half-heartedly glared at him for being cut off. “But why would it be in the… Oh. Ohh~ right. I put it in there so that it can be hand washed.” Kevin knocked himself in the head and Kibum could only laugh quietly.

“I’m really sorry for blaming you, hyung.” Kevin said once he calmed down.

“It’s no big deal.” He shrugged. Kiseop admired Kibum’s cool-headedness towards Kevin, if it were Alexander or Eli… Kiseop could only chuckle at the thought.

“I bought you a coffee and croissant though, as an apology gift?” Kevin smiled prettily and gave him the food he bought from the shop.

“You bought me something to eat? At…” Kibum squinted at the wall clock. “…One thirty-five-“

“It’s actually one thirty three, hyung.” Kevin said knowingly and Kibum glared at him for interrupting.

“Fine. One thirty in the morning? You must be kidding me.” But he bit into his croissant anyway.

“No, I’m not Kidding Me. I’m Kevin Woo, remember?” Kiseop chuckled in the corner glad that those two were okay now. He stood from his hiding place and finally decided to go to bed but not before hearing, “Goodnight Kiseop-ah” From both of them.

Kiseop smiled to himself, said goodnight to them too and jokingly thought, I’m a pretty bad ninja.

KEMARUfanfics. Chapter 3.

——

Kevin stared at the altar. No, he stared at the people who were standing in front of the altar. They looked stunning, perfect. They looked wonderful together. Everybody in the church felt happy for them, everybody was smiling at them. But he felt only the familiar burning sensation at the back of his throat.

His hyung was getting married today.  Kibum-hyung, to be exact. Kevin thought he was too young to get married (He was 25 years old, a perfect age to marry, his hyung argued, but Kevin didn’t believe that there was a perfect age to marry). He looked good in a tuxedo, he thought. He really looked like a statue, standing there with the girl’s hand in his. Kevin wiped his dry eyes furiously.

Kibum and the girl met at a store, Kevin remembers the story very well. He was strolling through the racks and the girl bumped to him. I bet she did it on purpose, Kevin thought bitterly. He remembers the first time Kibum told him the story. He thought he saw an angel that day, he said.

But I’m your angel, right?

His hyung’s family was present, of course. Mrs. Kim was quietly crying in happiness that his youngest son was getting married, while Mr. Kim was comforting her, looking like he’ll cry any moment too. Hyungjoon-hyung was clutching his handkerchief as if his life depended on it and Jang Elli-noona was looking pretty in white while stroking Choco who they brought for this special occasion.

You’re leaving Choco too, hyung?

He heard someone sniffling besides him and saw that Soohyun-hyung was crying. Kevin wanted to cry too, but he patted his hyung’s arm in comfort instead. They were sitting in one row, all six of them.  Kevin was the best man and the rest were too, he guessed. He never really did get marriage arrangements. They were too complicated, too crazy, too serious… too emoitional.

You said you didn’t want to get married.

He looked at the altar again. Kibum looked handsome while smiling brightly to his bride. Granted, the girl looked pretty too. I bet I’m prettier, Kevin thought. He felt his hands being held and looked up at Alexander who was smiling sadly at him. He felt like crying.

But I won’t. It’s your day today, I won’t ruin it by crying.

“It’s going to be okay.”  He heard Alexander say. He looked up and gave him a watery smile. Kevin needed to be strong, for Kibum’s sake. He straightened his shoulder and looked in front once again. But as soon as he saw his hyung beaming at his soon-to-be-wife, Kevin lost his composure and looked down at his shoes.

That smile used to be for me.

The girl was saying her vows now. Lies, Kevin thought bitterly. She won’t keep it. He gripped Alexander’s hand tightly. He thought that the girl won’t be able to understand Kibum better than he; he knows his hyung like he knows his own hand. He knew his weaknesses, his strengths, his likes and his dislikes. But Kevin knew they can never be.

We can never be.

Kiseop was crying now, too. His mother was comforting him, stroking his hair. Kevin chuckled when Kiseop swatted his mother’s hand away. Dongho looked like he was holding back tears too. The maknae may seem strong and nonchalant about some things, but he can’t ignore his hyung getting married, getting forever bound to a woman.

I can’t ignore this.

He looked at Eli and smiled when he saw that the older was looking anywhere but the front. Eli looked like he wanted to avoid the lovey-dovey part and just run off to the reception to eat. But they have to finish the ceremony first.

Why’d you have to marry early?

Kibum was the first one to get married in their group. Alexander and Soohyun were naturally jealous when they first heard the news. Who wouldn’t, when somebody younger than you gets to marry first? But they congratulated him sincerely. Dongho and Kiseop were dumbfounded at first, but they gradually accepted that fact and congratulated him in the end. Eli thought it was the best news since Dongho told them he had a girlfriend. Kevin just felt betrayed.

“Do you, Kim Kibum take-“

Kevin tuned this part out. He wanted to scream, to throw something – anything – that would stop this. But he won’t, he can’t. He wanted his hyung to be happy, and if behaving during his wedding makes him happy, then so be it.

She won’t make you happy.

Kevin heard his hyung say I do and his other hand gripped Alexander’s elbow tight as he felt his heart clench. He felt like throwing up.

He remembers his conversation with Alexander the night Kibum announced he was getting married. He remembers how happy his hyung looked, happy that he’ll get tied to the girl of his dreams. He remembered the other’s reaction clearly, too. But he remembered the pain most.

“I know how you feel about this.” He remembered Alexander pulling him in an empty room and confronting him, making him spill his feelings, making him admit everything.

“No, you don’t.”  He remembered his voice trembling, his knees shaking and the way Alexander looked sympathetically at him.

“It’s going to be okay.” He remembers his hyung hugging him.

“No, it’s not.” And he remembered hugging him back, holding him tight. “It’s never going to be okay.” But Kevin remembered crying his eyes out that night, crying himself to sleep every night.

“I now pronounce you, husband and wife!”

Kevin had never cried so hard in his life. Not until this day.

I love you more than she ever could.

KEMARUfanfics. Chapter 2.

——-

“Where’s Kibum-hyung?” Kevin said the moment he entered their dorm.  He placed the bags down the kitchen table (he just came home from grocery. Dongho bullied him to do it), removed his beanie, scarf, coat and gloves, placed everything at the coat hanger near the door and sat down in the living room with the other members who were watching the latest episode of Iris. Kevin had to clear his throat to get their attention.

“I’ll ask again: Where’s Kibum-hyung?”

Kiseop, God bless his soul, turned to look at him and said, “He went to the Frozen Lake, I don’t know why though. He just said he’ll be back later. It seems like he wanted to be alone for a while.” Kiseop shrugged.

“Oh, okay,” Kevin went to the coat rack again to fetch his coat, scarf, gloves and beanie. “Thanks, Kiseop, you’re he best.” He smiled at Kiseop and the latter just smiled back and returned to his previous business (which was watching Iris).

Kevin went to the nearest coffee shop first to buy some hot coffee for Kibum. I don’t want Kibum-hyung to freeze off now, do I? Kevin thought conventionally.

When Kevin reached the park which Kiseop called “The Frozen Lake” (because the lake was frozen this season, and when it’s not, Kiseop calls it The Lake.) and saw a person sitting on the nearby bench. He quickly assumed that it was Kibum and walked closer. He was right.

He noticed that Kibum was staring at the sky deep in thought. Probably counting the invisible stars, Kevin thought bitterly as he stared at his hyung looking peaceful, yet sad. It was true though. There were no starts tonight as the city lights were too bright.

Kevin jumped in shock as he heard Kibum speak.

“Well, are you going to sit down and give me the coffee or are you just going to stand there until your legs go numb?” Kevin flushed but he sat beside his hyung and gave him the coffee nonetheless.

“Penny for your thoughts?”

“I can’t see the stars. “ Kibum looked at the sky. “The lights, the tall buildings, street lamps, everything covers and overshines the stars. It’s beautiful when you look at it. The dark sky and the bright city lights contrasting each other, but the stars are better. They’re better.” Kevin stared at his hyung in wonder. He knew his hyung was sort of a nature freak, (He remembers Kibum scolding Alexander-hyung for using too much water) but his mouth opened slightly when he realized the meaning behind his words.

“So… what made you look for me, Kevin?” Kibum looked at him and Kevin blushed at being caught staring.

“Well, you weren’t at home when I got back and… I thought you’d need some company. I know Kiseop said that you look like you wanted to be alone but I just thought… you know…” Kevin looked down sheepishly. “I’m sorry if I intruded your thinking time, hyung.” He muttered.

“You came at the right time actually.” Kibum leaned back, looked at the sky and smiled. “I needed the coffee.” He chuckled.

“Oh, well, that’s good then.” Kevin snickered. At least he wasn’t a burden.

“And the company too. Nothing beats a good company, not even coffee.” His hyung chuckled and Kevin blushed and smiled shyly. His hyung never fails to make him all warm inside.

“So, Kevin…”

“Hmm?”

“What do you think of stars?” Kibum offered him his coffee but he refused. It was Kevin’s turn to stare at the blank sky.

“I think they’re shiny, and pretty and…” When Kevin turned to look at his hyung, he noticed that Kibum’s eyebrow was raised and Kevin just laughed. “I was joking, of course.”Kevin stole Kibum’s coffee in his hands, sipped (“Hey, what the hell?” Kibum said) and handed it back to him.

“I feel so bad for them because even though few people only notice and appreciate them, they still work hard to shine bright.” Kevin said this with a different meaning altogether. He felt the familiar burning at the back of his throat and swallowed hard as his eyes stung with tears. “The star, he’s always working so hard to take care of me…” He felt a cloth being handed to him and he turned to his hyung who just smiled and damn it his composure broke and his tears started falling.

“You’ve always worked hard for us, for me, and yet I’ve always ignored you.” Kevin buried his face into Kibum’s handkerchief in shame. “I’ve always ignored you.”

“It’s alright, I can live with-”

“No!” Kevin turned to look at him and pushed Kibum strongly, but not strong enough to push him out of the bench. “You’re always there for me and you took care of me when I first came to Korea alone and yet here I am ignoring the hell out of you like nothing happened and I’ve been spending way too much time with Alexander-hyung doing absolutely nothing when it’s clear that I need to spend more time with you!” Kevin sniffled.

“I don’t want you to feel obligated-“

“Shut up! I don’t feel obligated to spend more time with you. I want to, now shut up!” Kevin wiped his eyes furiously. “I domiss wasting time with you. I miss you even though we practically see each other everyday. ” He was glad Kibum didn’t hug him. He wasn’t a hug type of person when he cries.

Kevin didn’t want to admit it to anybody but he hated it when Alexander hugs him when he’s sad or about to cry. Kevin wants to be alone and cry the hell out and not share his sadness with someone. He was glad Kibum understood.

“I miss you too.” Kibum whispered.

“I hate how I’m always ignorant when it comes to other people’s feelings. I’m always so optimistic and I think thateverything is okay when it’s obviously not. I hate it.” He sniffed and wiped his eyes more, glad that the tears were actually stopping. Funny how things turned out to be, he came here to comfort Kibum – or just accompany him - but here they were, on the park bench, Kibum comforting him.

“No, you’re not. You’re not ignorant and who cares if you’re optimistic? God knows there are too many pessimists in the world.” Kibum said, giving him his coffee and Kevin felt the familiar sting in his eyes again.

“I hate you for being my star, hyung.” Kevin whispered into his drink. “I don’t want you to be my star.”

“Why is that?”

“I don’t want you to be the person I overlook. I don’t want to be blinded by the stupid useless lights who think they’re doing a great job when really, it’s the star that does more and yet they’re hidden.”

“You’re too nice for your own good, Kevin.” Kibum turned to him and patted his head in a comfortingly way.

“Shut up,” Kevin hugged him, which was a little awkward when you’re sitting on a park bench. “You’re nicer remember?” he smiled and buried his face into his hyung’s winter coat when he felt Kibum hug him back.

“You smell nice, hyung.” Kevin said, his voice muffled by the coat.

“I smell like coffee.” Kevin felt Kibum place his head on his shoulder and felt the familiar tingle he feels whenever Kibum touches him.

“No, no. You smell musky and Lavender-ish. I like lavender.” Kevin rested his cheek into his hyung’s chest and listened to his heart beat.

“So does that mean you like my cologne?” Kibum whispered into his ear.

He hit his hyung lightly and said, “I like you more than any lavender or musk combined, silly.” He felt his hyung laugh and Kevin smiled in satisfaction.

“Oh, Kevin, look!” Kevin frowned when he felt his hyung remove his arms around him but brightened when he saw snowflakes coming down.

“Beautiful.” Kevin breathed out but as he looked upward more, he could see something twinkling. “Hyung, hyung, look!” He stood up and pulled Kibum to his feet so that his hyung could see it clearly too.

“What, where?” Kibum moved behind him to get a better view and Kevin pointed to the sky.

“You see that star over there? The big star that twinkles really bright?” He felt Kibum hug him from the back and his chin rest on his shoulder. Kevin was probably smiling stupidly right now.

“Yeah, I see it. It is very bright.” Kevin felt Kibum’s breath tickle his neck and Kevin shivered in delight.

“That’s you! You’ll shine brighter than any star and you’ll out twinkle them, too!” Kevin chuckled.

“You know, Kevin.” He felt Kibum tighten his grip around him.

“Hmm?”

“I love things that are simple but give out such a beautiful aura.” Kevin swore he can feel his hyungs lips hover on his ear, he could just bite his lips to keep himself from making unnecessary noises.

“Yeah?” Kevin breathed and he almost, almost melted into Kibum’s arms.

“Well, you’re simple…” Kevin licked his lips. “and you definitely give off a beautiful aura so-“ Kevin turned around and kissed his hyung on the lips, closing his eyes shut and hugging him tight. When he pulled back, Kevin swore he had the silliest smile plastered to his face.

“I love you too, hyung.” He blushed and kissed Kibum’s cheeks, glad that he came out to find his hyung this cold winter night.

He’d been brooding in the kitchen for approximately two hours when Kevin came in.

“Why are you still up?” Kibum asked, his voice sort of garbled due to his chin resting on his arm that was on top of the kitchen table.

“Why are you still up?” Kevin asked back. He put a cup of coffee in front of Kibum and he sat up properly to drink it.

“I asked you the question first.” He sipped it and looked at Kevin patiently. Kevin could only snicker and mutter ‘still stubborn as ever’.

“I, for one, can’t sleep because I’ve been thinking a lot about some unnecessary things.” Kevin placed his elbow on the table and rested his chin on his open palm. “What about you, hyung?”

“I don’t know.” Kibum titled his head to the side. “I just can’t sleep.”

“Need someone to sing a lullaby for you?” Kevin said sneakily. Kibum could only smirk into his cup as he sipped some of his coffee.

“Well, hyung, I think your body clock just got haywire.” Kibum coughed and looked at Kevin who looked as if he bore another head.

“What?”

“Well, you’ve been sleeping a lot in the afternoon, yes? Before and after practice, before and after shows, hell, you’re been sleeping before and after we do anything!” Kevin said as he stood up and made a cup of hot chocolate. He was sensitive like that; Kevin only drinks hot chocolate because he thinks coffee fries your brain cells. Weird kid, Kibum smiled into his head.

“I guess so…” Kibum muttered into his drink. The truth was, Kibum was thinking about a lot of things too, how he and Kevin seem so distant compared to the past.

“Hey, Binnie,” He smiled when he noticed Kevin paused as he was about to put the spoonful of chocolate powder in his mug.

“Yes, Bummie-hyung?” Kevin said as he poured some hot water into his mug.

“Remember the first time we met?”

“Yeah,” Kevin snickered as he sat down beside Kibum who was looking down at his cup of coffee. “Yeah, how can I forget? I bumped into you and my glasses fell and I was like a blind kid searching for a needle in a haystack!” Kevin laughed out loud. Oh how Kibum loved that laugh.

“Hey! Don’t insult the blind children; God knows they’re better than you.” They both laughed. It was times like these that Kibum missed. Kevin says something, Kibum insults him and they both laugh at it, even though it sounds rude, they both know that it means no harm.

“Yeah, and then I said ‘Sorry’ so many times I don’t think I could’ve counted them with my hands and toes!”

“Good thing I was fresh from Australia then or else I wouldn’t have been able to help you.” Kibum smiled at the memory.

“But, hyung, how come your English is failing now?”

“No practice, I guess.” Kibum looked down at his cup of coffee again, it was almost gone now. He smiled sadly.

“Oh? Why not practice it with Eli or Alexander-hyung?” Kevin suggested and Kibum’s heart just broke at the fact that he didn’t even volunteer himself. Kibum just shrugged because he felt that if he talked, he would throw up all the coffee he drank.

“Well, if you don’t practice it, all your hard work in Australia will be wasted.”

“Yeah.” Kibum finished his cup of coffee and took Kevin’s cup too. “I’ll wash it, you go to bed.”

“Oh, okay.” Kevin frowned as he stood up. “Night, hyung.”

“Night, Binnie.” Kibum muttered in perfect English. Not that he heard it, He thought.

He’d been practicing because he thought that one day, he and Kevin would be able to talk in straight English, and then he’ll teach Kevin some Japanese so that they’ll be able to converse in Japanese too.

He sighed as he placed the clean cups into the cabinet and went straight to bed, thinking of the things that might’ve happened if Kevin hadn’t bumped into him that day. “I’d probably be miserable.” Kibum said as he closed the door to their bedroom.

Chapter 5:

—-

Jung Min sighed as he hung up on the phone. He felt sorry for Kevin, and he also feels worried for what Ki Bum will do to him.
“Hyung Junnie, shouldn’t we check on what Ki Bum’s doing right now?” He asked, looking up to see Hyung Jun.
“Don’t worry, Jung Min. I trust he hasn’t done anything bad yet?”
“Okay.” Jung Min returned to hugging Hyung Jun, his head on his chest. “I just hope he calls to inform us what’s happening.”
“Me too.” Hyung Jun’s hand reached for Jung Min’s head, him holding it gently.
“Your chest is cold today.” Jung Min commented.
“Just sleep on it.” Hyung Jun sighed.
Jung Min closed his eyes, then immediately got to sleep.
[Four hours later and Hyung Jun’s snoring interruptions.]
Ki Bum returned from the very boring rape with Kevin, then saw the two sleeping. He smiled.
“Ahem.” The two woke up five minutes later.
“I’m going to take a shower.” Hyung Jun carried Jung Min then lay him on the couch.
“Be quick. I’m missing you already.” Jung Min said.
“I will.” He glanced at Jung Min and stared at him until he was out of sight.
“Ki Bum,” he stood up then fixed his shirt, “what did you do today?”
“Went to Kevin’s house.” His face looked disappointed.
“You did? I thought you promised to leave him alone?” Jung Min didn’t even know why he asked that. He knew Ki Bum was betraying all promises.
“Well, I was about to, but he asked me to promise him one thing. After being pointed by a knife, to be exact.”
“What? He pointed a knife at you?” Jung Min was amazed by what Kevin did.
“Yeah. I almost feared for my life— I mean, only by a piece of one million bits.”
“You got scared.” Jung Min grinned at him. “You got scared!”
“Only until I got control of the situation. Stop that.”
Jung Min kept grinning.
“You know how much I want to rape you as well…” Ki Bum muttered so low.
“Did you say something?” Jung Min didn’t hear him.
Just as Hyung Jun was done taking a shower, Ki Bum immediately kissed Jung Min.
Jung Min, shocked at first then changed, kissed back. Ki Bum is, after all, a replica of Hyung Jun.
He swore he felt that they were on the couch now.
“What the—” The two stopped to look up them to see a half-naked Hyung Jun glaring at his brother and his lover. “Cheating on me already? I thought it would take more than three years before you cheat, Park Jung Min.”
“But…I didn’t mean to…” Jung Min pushed Ki Bum off him to try and explain.
“No need to explain. I already have it understood in my mind. Ki Bum, you can have my bed room.”
“But, Hyung Junnie—”
Hyung Jun slapped Jung Min, growling a bit. “Do not call me Hyung Junnie. Not anymore.”
Jung Min held his slapped cheek, sitting down on the floor, crying himself out. “We’ve been best friends for five years…we’ve been together for three years…now, it’ll be ending…”
“You can keep saying that all you want. We’re over.”
Ki Bum slightly felt guilty. “Hyung.”
“What do you want, Ki Bum…?” Hyung Jun’s voice changed.
“Do not blame him for cheating on you, because he didn’t. Blame me, for liking him three years ago. Before you dated him.” Ki Bum’s voice was serious, and was ready to take any beating his brother will give him.
“But did you see?! Did you see him kissing you back?! You should have seen the satisfaction drawn on his face—”
“Hyung, you’re a blind fool. Look at me, look at you.” Ki Bum always used the same technique to find a way for Jung Min to like him. But, Jung Min still loved Hyung Jun most, regardless of the fact they look the same. Luckily, this one worked.
“He knows what’s different and what’s the same, Ki Bum!”
“Example, he bought two boxes of the same product. What do you suppose he’ll choose? He can’t distinguish everything. We have the same scent, and the same feeling. If he closed his eyes, do you think he’ll know who I am and who you are?”
Hyung Jun tilted his head, looking at the still crying Jung Min. He felt a thousand knives stab his heart when he glanced at Jung Min.
He sighed, then sat down near Jung Min, hugging him. “Sorry.”
“I’m such an idiot…” He heard Jung Min whisper, still crying.
“No, I was just so mad at you…I didn’t listen to your explanation.”
Jung Min sniffed. He hugged Hyung Jun back.
Oh, how Ki Bum wished he was like his brother.

KEMARU fanfic! Chapter 4.

Chapter 4:

—-

Kevin turned around to see no one. He opened the door of his apartment, getting in and closing the door quickly.
Like in horror movies, Ki Bum is the ghost Kevin is running away from.
Hyung Jun was his way out of his own misery. Maybe if he called the police about this man…?
No, no matter how much force the police have, Ki Bum is as strong as them.
His phone was ringing. He checked his phone to see who it was.
It was Jung Min hyung. He never contacted Kevin ever since he was abused and lured from his friends. Was never able to, anyways.
He answered, “Jung Min hyung?”
“Hey, Kevin. Ki Bum’s not home right now, so I suggest locking your door tightly, then turn off all the visible lights. Pretend you’re not there.”
But, he knew the other two had his back. They were eventually still protecting him from the evil man lurking in the shadows.
“Thank you, Jung Min hyung.”
“Don’t mention it. Just call me if anything troubles you, or if he keeps knocking at your door and threatening you that he will destroy it. Tell us also if he’s there, we’ll get him away from you.”
“Okay, bye.”
Just then, a vicious loud bang on the door went through Kevin’s ears.
He shivered, then hid under the black table at the eastern part of the apartment.
“I know you’re home. Where else would you be?”
He stared at the wall, fearing for his life. As the loud bangs continued, he knew this would be the end.
“Open the stupid door, and we’ll be even.” Ki Bum’s voice sent shivers down Kevin’s spine, and though it already happened in chapter 1, it is still effective.
He was shaking. He looked at the kitchen, realizing there’s sure to be weapons. Or, just knives.
He stood up, his head making a noise due to a bang by accident against the very low table, then ran to the kitchen.
Kevin immediately grabbed a knife. As he did, the door opened, thanks to Ki Bum’s very powerful kick towards it.
“Hello, my Kevin.” He grinned, walking towards Kevin. He didn’t know Kevin had a knife, so how should he protect himself?
“Stay away from me!” Kevin turned around and pointed the rather, very sharp knife towards Ki Bum, making him step back.
“Put the knife down. You’ve never killed a person. Not even an animal.” Ki Bum looked at the knife in fear.
“If I haven’t, you’re my first.”
“Please, Kevin. Don’t kill me!”
“You think you haven’t killed me yet?!” Kevin wiped his tears. “All these months, I stare at the mirror, not to see me, but someone else! You killed me, Ki Bum. You should suffer for it!”
“If I killed you, these rapes would mean nothing, and you’ll appreciate them.” He looked at Kevin, losing his fear immediately.
Because he knew Kevin couldn’t kill, no matter what. Especially him. A tortured dog who is going to die, and is in pain, can be killed, but Kevin would take him to the vet to put him down instead.
“You think that?! No matter what, Ki Bum, I’ll never appreciate your rapes!” Ki Bum took a step forward, then held the knife’s end [which can be very painful], looking at Kevin seriously.
“I’ve suffered enough, Ki Bum.” Kevin’s tears fell to the carpet.
“Fine, have it your way.” Ki Bum snatched the knife from Kevin’s hands, threw it to the floor, then kissed Kevin’s neck. “You want me to be gentler on you? Rape you rather slowly?” He asked, his breathing against Kevin’s skin.
Kevin slowly nodded. He then regretted his decision. What was he thinking? He didn’t want to be raped, that’s the reason why he depends himself!
—-
[Special Scene: Not included in the story.]
Kevin held the mic near his lips, the members waiting for him to sing.
“First I was afraid, I was petrified. Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side.”
“But I spent so many nights, thinking how you got me wrong. I grew strong, I learned how to carry on.”
“And so you’re back, from outer space. I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face.”
“I should have changed my stupid lock, I should have made you leave your key.”
“If I had known for just one second you’d be back to bother me. Go on now go walk out the door, just turn around now, ‘cause you’re not welcome anymore.”
“Weren’t you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye, you think I’d crumble. You think I’d lay down and die.”
